Series 5 depicts people encountered in daily life, suggesting narratives prompted from an ontology of the body and mind. They give attention to relationships between the subject(s) and the other, forming a cast of characters that might be recognised and yet are not known. The stories people carry and the internal and external, often emotional, entanglement of being human presents and frames identity. The palette is drawn from Le Corbusier's Architectural Polychromy, a range of colour groups that Corbusier felt promoted spaciality, harmony and psychological benefits.
